Twilight’s Edward Cullen/Robert Pattinson have become the stuff that daydreams are made of for young girls and middle-aged women alike. As we all know, the DVD is being released this weekend and various retailers around the country are throwing parties. Well, the party doesn’t end after you buy the DVD…you must have a viewing party. So here is the effinnerds guide for throwing a Twilight Party.
The Decor

Obviously you’ll be hanging up pictures of Edward and Bella, but let’s just assume — for fun — that money was no object. How would you decorate your party? We have a great idea. This is very Jr. Prom-like, but the theme is a keeper. It’s a Wire Lighted Moon from ShinDigz.com. There is also an abundance of star-themed decorations to recreate that certain time of day that is so sad..um, what’s it called? Twilight? Don’t forget the Christmas lights!
The Drinks
The Vampire lifestyle is decadent and there is no other drink that is more decadent than Champagne. We suggest kicking it up a notch and serving a Kir Framboise. It’s simple and results in a bloody looking Champagne cocktail. Try this recipe from In-the-spirit.co.uk. For the teens that can’t drink yet, try this recipe for fruit punch from oldrecipebook.com.
The Appetizer
There is nothing better than a Caprese Salad Kabob for your Twilight party. A little red for Edward, a little green for Forks, and a little white for the Cullen clan. Try this recipe from CountryPolitanCooking.com.
Side Salad
Try a roasted-beet salad as your side salad. It’s light and fresh and you can serve a small amount in a cup of lettuce, like in this recipe that we found at Gourmet.com.
The Main Course
Edward is a fan of Eseme’s Brazilian island, so why not serve up Brazilian kabobs — Churrasquiho — as your main course. It’s fun, bloody (until cooked), and delicious. It fits the theme and it’s a social dish. Perfect for a party. Check out this recipe from CookBrazil.com.
The Cake
Is there any other option than Red Velvet Cake? It’s delicious and beautiful…and the color of blood, of course! Here’s a good recipe to try from the Food Network.
The Costumes
You basically have three choices: vampire, teenager from Forks, or Werewolf. Pick your side wisely.
The Music
Duh! Either the Twilight Soundtrack or the movie itself.
Have Fun!
Spend your night laughing, crying, and eating with friends and then you can go home and daydream about Edward…or Jacob.
